What is Neuro-Nutrition?
Neuro-nutrition is an approach to nutrition therapy that focuses on supporting brain health and mental wellbeing through food, nutrients, eating habits and lifestyle factors. Closely related to the growing field of nutritional psychiatry, Neuro-Nutrition specifically emphasizes how diet can support the brain, nervous system and cognitive-emotional functioning in people with mental health conditions, neurodevelopmental conditions (like autism or ADHD), or other brain-based concerns.
Here’s what that means in practice:
We look at what you eat, how you eat, and when you eat, and how those choices affect brain health, mood, attention, behavior and energy.
We tailor nutrition support alongside your existing care (doctors, therapists, psychiatry, neurology, etc). Neuro-Nutrition is not a substitute for medications, therapy or other medical interventions.
We believe that food can be fun, creative and nourishing at every age, and that you can develop habits and strategies to help your brain function its best, even when you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD or other conditions.
We meet each person where they are, recognising that each brain and each journey is unique. Our role is to partner with you (or your child) to design practical tools, enjoyable food experiences and sustainable eating patterns that support brain health and wellbeing.
Why It Matters
Brain health is increasingly recognized as central to mental health, cognitive performance, behavior regulation and overall wellness. The foods we consume (and our eating patterns, sleep, stress and lifestyle) influence neurochemistry, neuro-transmission, inflammation, gut-brain communication, mitochondrial and cellular health, and more. Targeted nutritional support can help enhance resilience, support neurodevelopment and promote better functional outcomes while still working alongside medical and therapeutic care.
Neuro-nutrition does not claim to cure autism, ADHD, or any other brain-based concerns. Rather, it offers a complementary pathway to feel better, build stronger foundations, boost brain health, support other interventions, and improve quality of life.
Key Statistics
Here are some recent U.S. statistics:

An estimated 7 million U.S. children aged 3-17 have been diagnosed with ADHD.
An estimated 15.5 million U.S. adults have an ADHD diagnosis.
In recent U.S. data, approximately 1 in 31 children are estimated to have autism spectrum disorder.
Among U.S. adults: Around 8.3% had at least one major depressive episode in their lifetime and around 19.1% had an anxiety disorder at some point.
